Starring the Solstickan boy, our design makes everyday objects lovely to display.

Solstickan Design is a success in Sweden with its range of popular home and interior products, including a collection of fire extinguishers and fire blankets. Each piece stars the Solstickan boy.  

We decided to further the worthy cause. Using quality, functionality and design as their tools they bring the Solstickan boy into today’s homes and lives in new ways. Besides featuring the illustration the common thread is care and cosiness.

The original illustration was created by the artist Einar Nerman and modelled after his young son. Adorning Sweden’s preferred matchboxes since 1936, with part of the proceeds earmarked for the Solstickan Foundation, sales benefit children and the elderly.

Over the years 10 billion matchboxes have been sold, making it one of Sweden’s most reproduced pieces of art, and resulting in millions of kronor towards projects and research.
